Volleyball Recap: Franklin Monroe Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Franklin Monroe was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Tri-County North on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jets came up short against the Newton Local Indians on Thursday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Jets in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost eight in a row.

While Franklin Monroe was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-22, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Katie Waller and Jaylin Swiger, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Brooklyn Miller and her 12 assists. Swiger also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Reagan Flora, each putting up two.
