Baseball Game Preview: Orestimba Warriors vs. Ripon Christian Knights

For the second straight game, Orestimba will face off against Ripon Christian. The Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Orestimba has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight defeats, while Ripon Christian will come in with three straight wins.

Orestimba lost 11-1 to Ripon Christian on Wednesday.

For Ripon Christian's part, they got a great performance from Mateo Ceja as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Ceja has posted since back in February.

On the hitting side, Max Anderson was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Luisi, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Ripon Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Orestimba's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Ripon Christian, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
