Baseball Recap: Sulligent Comes Up Short

Sulligent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Phil Campbell Bobcats, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 29-2 back in February.

Sulligent saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Sandlin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Sulligent's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Phil Campbell, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Coming up, Sulligent will be playing at home against Carbon Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sulligent has given up an average of 11.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Phil Campbell, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Phil Campbell Bobcats face off against Mars Hill Bible Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
