Volleyball Recap: Milly Crecelius Key Part of Team Effort in Jaguars Win + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Georgia-Cumberland Academy challenged Praise Academy on Monday. The Jaguars walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Lions. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Monday.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-22, 25-16, 26-24.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Milly Crecelius, who had 21 digs, eight kills, and one block. Crecelius has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played. Ella Reese was another key player, getting 26 digs and one assist.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Praise Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Coming up, Georgia-Cumberland Academy will head out to square off against Unity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Praise Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
