Football Recap: Cypress Creek Cougars vs. Jordan Warriors
Cypress Creek kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 41-0 loss at the hands of the Jordan Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 607th, while the Warriors are ranked 125th).
Aidan Hook threw for 181 yards on nine of 23 attempts. Steven Dinh was his top target, picking up 76 receiving yards. On the ground, Quintin Hawkins rushed for 40 yards.
Beau Bryant had an outrageously good game for Jordan as he rushed for 64 yards and one TD on only five carries, and also threw for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Bryant has posted since back in October of 2024. Landon Williams was Bryant's top target, picking up 83 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cypress Creek will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Tomball Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jordan, they will welcome Fort Bend Travis at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
