Libertyville put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let the Elk Grove Grenadiers on the board, marking the Wildcats' second-straight 4-0 shutout. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Grenadiers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2017.

Nico Harper looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Quinn Schambow was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Libertyville's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Elk Grove, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Libertyville will challenge Lake Zurich at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Elk Grove, they will square off against Saint Viator at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
