Basketball Recap: Reed-Custer Comets vs. Herscher Tigers
Reed-Custer was the 42-24 winner over Herscher when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Comets took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Comets have lost by exactly eight points.
When it comes to explaining why Reed-Custer lost, don't look at Alyssa Wollenzien. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 48.7% of the Comets' points, marking the fourth time in a row Wollenzien has posted more than a third of the team's points.
