Football Recap: Barrington Eagles vs. North Kingstown Skippers

Barrington faced North Kingstown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Eagles were dealt a 49-14 defeat at the hands of the Skippers. The Eagles have struggled against the Skippers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Barrington saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jackson Lenz picked up 61 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 45 yards. Zachary Carrara also deserves some recognition as he passed for his first passing yards of the season.

Nickolas Stafford continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Kingstown, rushing for 284 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.9 yards per carry. Stafford's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 132 rushing yards. Jack Diano was another key player, rushing for 74 yards and one score.

Barrington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for North Kingstown, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.
