South piles up the points against Independence

Recap: South Bulldogs vs. Independence 76ers

The South Bulldogs waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They blew past Independence 72-40 at home. South has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Christian Stokes, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Lajames Washington, who scored 12 points.

South is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Independence, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.

South will head out on the road to square off against West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South is coming into the match with six straight wins on the road, meaning West will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Independence, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Walnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Walnut Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
