Soccer Game Preview: Eisenhower vs. Choctaw

The Eisenhower Eagles will square off against the Choctaw Yellowjackets at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Eisenhower's offense. They lost 7-0 to Edmond Santa Fe on Tuesday. Eisenhower have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Choctaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Yukon. While losing is never fun, Choctaw can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Yukon are ranked 13th).

Eisenhower's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Choctaw, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Eisenhower took their win against Choctaw in their previous matchup back in February of 2020 by a conclusive 4-1 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
