Softball Recap: South Titans vs. Heights Falcons

Suggested Video

South had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-10 to make it four. They came up short against the Heights Falcons, falling 17-5. The Titans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 16-1.

As for Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season. The result was nothing new for Heights, who have now won eight games by 12 runs or more so far this season.

For Heights' part, Hayden Wettstein and Jaeda Wilson did most of the damage at the plate: Wettstein went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Wilson went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Those four RBI gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Wilkins, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

As of now, neither South nor Heights have any future games scheduled.
