Recap: Russellville Golden Tigers vs. Lawrence County Red Devils
Even though the Lawrence County Red Devils scored an imposing 66 points on Wednesday, the Russellville Golden Tigers still came out on top. Russellville took their contest against Lawrence County 77-66. Given Russellville's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Lawrence County is ranked 159th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Lawrence County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Braylon Dame. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Dame pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zander Keepers, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Russellville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Lawrence County, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-15.
Russellville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lawrence County also has no future games currently scheduled.
