Baseball Recap: Sasakwa Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

Sasakwa had won ten straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 19-9 to make it 11. They put the hurt on the Milburn Eagles with a sharp 15-9 win. Considering the Vikings have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Milburn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-14. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games.

For Milburn's part, Landyn Turnbull made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Turnbull has become a key player for the Eagles: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-13 otherwise. Daylon Davis was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.

As of now, neither Sasakwa nor Milburn have any future games scheduled.
