Woodland suffered their closest defeat since March 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Horseshoe Bend Generals by a score of 8-6. One positive for the Bobcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Nate Herren and Bradley Brasher stepped up to the plate in a big way. Herren scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Brasher went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases. That's the most runs Herren has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Porter, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Even though they lost, Woodland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Woodland is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Horseshoe Bend, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season.

Woodland has already played their next contest, a 7-7 tie against Mt. Zion on the 6th. As for Horseshoe Bend, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 win against Wadley on the 6th.
