Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Academy with Community Partners). They blew past the Berean Academy Eagles 81-41 on Tuesday. With the Lions ahead 57-25 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Academy with Community Partners to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julian Garcia Rivera, who went 10 of 22 en route to 28 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Demise Kimble, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds.

Academy with Community Partners smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Academy with Community Partners' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Berean Academy, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Academy with Community Partners wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 71-38 victory against BASIS - Mesa on the 20th. As for Berean Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Academy with Community Partners at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
