Baseball Recap: Junipero Serra Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Junipero Serra won against Saint Francis last Friday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Padres narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Valley Christian Warriors 5-4. This was payback for the Padres, who suffered a 4-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Evan Bradshaw was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Chris Ganim also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Junipero Serra's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Junipero Serra will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
