The home team had won the previous seven meetings between Rock Valley and West Lyon, and Rock Valley kept the tradition alive. The Rockets skirted past the Wildcats 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Rock Valley had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 17-25, 25-18, 25-19, 15-12.

Rock Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for West Lyon, they moved to 4-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
