Baseball Game Preview: Frankston Indians vs. Woden Eagles

The Frankston Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Woden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Frankston was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ferris on Saturday. The Indians blew past the Yellowjackets 9-1. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Woden gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. Everything went their way against Overton as they made off with an 8-1 victory. The Eagles not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8, 2025 (when they won 19-0).

Frankston's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Woden, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Frankston got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 against Woden by a conclusive 16-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
