Soccer Recap: Gilmour Academy Drops Highest Score of Season Against Brush

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gilmour Academy). Everything went their way against the Brush Arcs on Thursday as they made off with an 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Gilmour Academy, who have now won eight matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Brush from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Kelsey Pattison led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Gilmour Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those four contests. As for Brush, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7-1.

Coming up, Gilmour Academy will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Padua Franciscan at 7:00 p.m. Brush does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
