Volleyball Game Preview: Helena Huskies vs. Hale County Wildcats

The Helena Huskies will take on the Hale County Wildcats at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Helena has three straight victories, Hale County has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Helena will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Chelsea, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Huskies were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hornets on Tuesday. The match marked the Huskies' most dominant win of the season.

Helena relied on the efforts of Emma Clair Dunlap, who had four aces and two assists, and Avery Cantley, who hit 66.7% for ten kills and eight digs and one block. Those ten kills gave Cantley a new career-high.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Thursday. Hale County took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tuscaloosa County.

Hale County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Helena, their victory bumped their record up to 19-15.
