Baseball Recap: Northside - Pinetown Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ayden - Grifton, Northside - Pinetown was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Washington Pam Pack 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since May 17, 2024.

Ashton Willard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Northside - Pinetown's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Washington, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-1 record.

Northside - Pinetown wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-1 defeat against Manteo on the 4th. As for Washington, they will square off against J.H. Rose at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
