Basketball Game Preview: Discovery Titans vs. Central Gwinnett Black Knights

The Discovery Titans will take on the Central Gwinnett Black Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Discovery is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season.

Discovery took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 47-31 victory over Mountain View. The win was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

It was another big night for Kaylon Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Krisheya Wilson, who posted 11 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Central Gwinnett got the win against Chapel Hill on Tuesday by a conclusive 66-40. The Black Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Discovery's victory bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Central Gwinnett, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-7.

Discovery came out on top in a nail-biter against Central Gwinnett in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 37-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Discovery since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
