It was a good run, but Irvington Preparatory Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Wabash Valley HomeSchool Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Irvington Preparatory Academy of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

While Irvington Preparatory Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-13.

Despite the defeat, Irvington Preparatory Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore John Curry had 12 digs.

Irvington Preparatory Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Wabash Valley HomeSchool, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Irvington Preparatory Academy will head out to challenge Monrovia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wabash Valley HomeSchool, they will venture away from home to square off against North Putnam at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
