With a playoff win on the line, Rock Island rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Galesburg Silver Streaks a 5-0 shutout. Rock Island might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Galesburg with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lawson Zulu (2), Jonas Cortez (2), and Matendo Natani.

The win was the third in a row for Rock Island, bringing their record up to 10-5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three contests.
