Soccer Recap: Dobie Comes Up Short

Dobie lost against Dawson back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dobie Longhorns took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dawson Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Eagles are ranked 106th).

Dobie's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Dawson, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Coincidentally, Dobie and Dawson will both be playing Pasadena Memorial the next time they take the pitch. Dawson will head out to face Pasadena Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Dobie will host them at 12:00 p.m. on February 22nd.
