Basketball Recap: Carter-Riverside Takes a Loss

Carter-Riverside lost against Eastern Hills on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Carter-Riverside Eagles took a hard 46-30 fall against the Eastern Hills Highlanders. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1500th, while the Highlanders are ranked 603rd).

Carter-Riverside's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Eastern Hills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Carter-Riverside will be playing in front of their home fans against Benbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastern Hills, they are taking a road trip to square off against Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
