West came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Kimball Jaguars as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on April 1st.

While West won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 25-12.

Elijah Albarillo paced West's offense, picking up 16 kills. Albarillo got some help from Dave Salo and his 18 assists. Matthew Deleon controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

West's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 3-15 Kimball and 2-5 Tracy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.4% over those games). As for Kimball, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West will welcome Tracy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wolfpack surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kimball, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lodi at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars are facing the Flames at the right time seeing as the Flames are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
