Soccer Recap: Page vs. Reagan

Page was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of the Reagan Raiders by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Raiders are ranked 26th).

Bo Vanore and Thomas Shaw scored both of Page's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Page's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Reagan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2-1 record this season.

Page will head out to face off against Bishop McGuinness at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop McGuinness is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.3 goals per game this season. As for Reagan, they will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Northwest Guilford at 7:00 p.m. Northwest Guilford knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goal or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Reagan likes a good challenge.
