Soccer Game Preview: Decatur Eisenhower vs. Springfield Southeast

Decatur Eisenhower hasn't had much luck against Springfield Southeast recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Decatur Eisenhower will head out to take on Springfield Southeast at 4:30 p.m.

Decatur Eisenhower managed to keep up with Arthur-Okaw Christian until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Decatur Eisenhower came up short against Arthur-Okaw Christian, falling 4-0. Decatur Eisenhower have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Springfield Southeast's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Lincoln.

Anika Meinkoth and Chloe Crawford scored both of Springfield Southeast's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Springfield Southeast's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Decatur Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Decatur Eisenhower might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Springfield Southeast in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Decatur Eisenhower avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
