Soldotna faced Kenai Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Stars walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Kardinals. Winning may never get old, but Soldotna sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Lane Hillyer and Daniel Heath scored all three of Soldotna's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Soldotna's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Kenai Central, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 5-4-1.

Looking ahead, Soldotna will square off against Homer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kenai Central, they will head out to face off against Grace Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
