Shekinah Christian is 2-8 against Delaware Christian since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Flames will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 10:30 a.m. Delaware Christian took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Shekinah Christian, who comes in off a win.
Shekinah Christian took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Tree of Life Christian, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Flames sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over the Trojans on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Flames needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Delaware Christian came up short against Tree of Life Christian on Thursday and fell 6-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Caden Beck was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Delaware Christian is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-7 otherwise. Beck was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
Beck wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Yoby, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.
Shekinah Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Delaware Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Shekinah Christian took their win against Delaware Christian in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 20-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flames since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
