While Dunn's win against Cate wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Dunn narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Cate 9-8. With that win, the Earwigs brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on Theodore Anderson, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Anderson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Hudson Von Der Lieth, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Dunn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Dunn back to even at 2-2. As for Cate, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
