Baseball Recap: Berlin Brothersvalley Takes a Loss

Berlin Brothersvalley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Windber, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mountaineers fell just short of the Ramblers by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The Mountaineers haven't had much luck with the Ramblers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Berlin Brothersvalley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Koval, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base. Koval is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Berlin Brothersvalley's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Windber, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-9.

Looking ahead, Berlin Brothersvalley will face off against Claysburg-Kimmel at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Windber, they will challenge Northern Bedford County at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th.
