Football Game Preview: Forrest City Mustangs vs. Hall Warriors

The Forrest City Mustangs will head out to take on the Hall Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Forrest City has given up an average of 40 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Forrest City was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-36 to Lonoke.

Despite the defeat, Forrest City got top-tier performance from Kevin Young, who rushed for 228 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 79 yards and one touchdown on only seven passes. Young's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.

Forrest City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Vonterrious Williams and Lacorian Smith.

Meanwhile, Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 13-0 to Riverview.

Forrest City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Forrest City skirted past Hall 37-35 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
