The Naples Classical Academy's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They strolled past Pineapple Cove Classical Academy with points to spare, taking the game 72-54.
Despite the defeat, Pineapple Cove Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: Michael Barna scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Matthew Barna, who scored 11 points along with four steals and two blocks.
Naples Classical's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Naples Classical will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Island Coast at 6:30 p.m. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against St. Edward's at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
