Basketball Recap: Tabi Clark Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat American Fork

After losing to American Fork the last time they met, Pleasant Grove decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pleasant Grove Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 win over the American Fork Cavemen on Tuesday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pleasant Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tabi Clark, who went 7-for-16 en route to 16 points and eight boards. The matchup was Clark's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Makayla Boyer was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 15 points.

Pleasant Grove's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for American Fork, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.

Pleasant Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-37 defeat against Westlake on the 7th. As for American Fork, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-41 loss against Lone Peak on the 7th.
