Softball Recap: New Palestine Wins Going Away Against Delta

While New Palestine put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Delta. The Dragons put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 10-0 victory. Considering the Dragons have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Katie Hirschy was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jersi Gross, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

New Palestine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delta only posted a batting average of .118.

New Palestine's win bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Delta, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

When New Palestine and Delta next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Dragons will try to stop Connersville's four-game winning streak when they meet at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Delta will square off against Jay County and their seven-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
