Soccer Recap: Pinecrest Comes Up Short

After soaring to six goals the game before, Pinecrest was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They fell 2-0 to the Hoggard Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pinecrest of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.

Pinecrest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Hoggard, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1-1.

Pinecrest and Hoggard will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Patriots are set to square off against their familiar foe Jack Britt at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hoggard will take on rival West Brunswick at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
