Recap: Victory Christian Center Kings vs. Legacy Early College Lions        
        
		
            
 It was a good run, but  the Victory Christian Center Kings unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Monday. They were beaten by Legacy Early College 79-48. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Victory Christian Center in their matchups with Legacy Early College: they've now lost eight in a row.
 Victory Christian Center's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Lya Gonzalez, who  scored 12 points along with two  steals. Gonzalez hasn't dropped below two  steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Deborah Orianegbena, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and 12  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Victory Christian Center  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 17  offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Legacy Early College only pulled down six  offensive rebounds.
 Legacy Early College's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Mela Hollaway, who  scored 15 points along with six  assists.  Janyia Williams was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points along with seven  rebounds.
 Victory Christian Center's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Legacy Early College, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
 Victory Christian Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Legacy Early College, they won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Gray Collegiate Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on February 6th. Gray Collegiate Academy is coming into the  match with six straight  losses at home,  meaning Legacy Early College will have to defend against a  squad hungry for a  win.
