Softball Recap: American Fork Comes Up Short

American Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-6 to the Skyridge Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 on April 10th.

Miah Walters made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

American Fork's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Skyridge, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American Fork will challenge Lone Peak at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavemen are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Skyridge, they will square off against Lehi at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
