Soccer Game Preview: Joshua vs. Centennial

The Joshua Owls will head out to square off against the Centennial Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Joshua, who comes in off a win.

Joshua took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Seguin onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Owls were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Centennial was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was Everman who was credited with the victory. Everman got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Centennial's three.

Centennial's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 5-4-2. As for Joshua, the win got them back to even at 5-5-1.
