Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Grace Christian had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 68-62 W against the West Anchorage Eagles. Given the Grizzlies' advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while the Eagles are ranked 28th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grace Christian pushed their record up to 22-2 with the win, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points over those games. As for West Anchorage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-14.
