Softball Game Preview: Arkadelphia Badgers vs. Prescott Curley Wolves

The Arkadelphia Badgers will square off against the Prescott Curley Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Arkadelphia has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

On Thursday, Arkadelphia came up short against Harmony Grove and fell 12-7. The Badgers have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Annabelle Davis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Thompson, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Prescott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Hope. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 15, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Arkadelphia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Prescott, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Arkadelphia's way against Prescott in their previous meeting on Monday, as Arkadelphia made off with a 10-2 win. Does Arkadelphia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Prescott turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
