Football Recap: Cornell Takes a Loss

Cornell was the 27-3 winner over California when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders took a 36-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans on Friday.

California got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Malachi Peak out in front who rushed for 147 yards and one touchdown. Brandon Meier was another key player, rushing for 46 yards and a pair of scores.

Cornell's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for California, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Cornell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 35-21 victory against Riverview on the 5th. As for California, they have also already played their next game, a 27-20 defeat against Waynesburg Central on the 5th.
