Volleyball Recap: Meaalofa Tauaese and Kylie Richardson Secure Win for Etiwanda

There's no place like home for Etiwanda, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the St. Lucy's Regents on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Regents: they've now won nine in a row.

Etiwanda walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-4, 25-21.

Etiwanda was led to victory by Kylie Richardson and Meaalofa Tauaese. Richardson had nine digs and six aces, while Tauaese had 11 assists and four digs. The dominant performance also gave Richardson a new career-high in assists (four).

They weren't the only good server: Etiwanda was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 16 consecutive matches.

Etiwanda's record now sits at 13-7. As for St. Lucy's, their loss dropped their record down to 8-9.

Etiwanda wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Skyview on the 19th. As for St. Lucy's, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Calvary Baptist on the 22nd.
