Baseball Game Preview: Midway Green Wave vs. Sunbright Tigers

For the second straight game, Midway will face off against Sunbright. The Green Wave will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

While Midway's win against Sunbright wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Green Wave won by a run and slipped past the Tigers 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Green Wave.

Levi Scroggins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Midway is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-11 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Midway secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Rowynn McClure, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. That double marked the first that McClure has hit this season.

Sunbright's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Midway, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
