Baseball Recap: Mullen Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Mullen came into Wednesday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Mountain View Mountain Lions by a score of 5-2 on Wednesday.

Dalton Marsh looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luke Stevenson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Young, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Mullen picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 6-9. As for Mountain View, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Mullen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 loss against Cherry Creek on the 26th. As for Mountain View, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Wellington on the 24th.
