Soccer Recap: Riverdale Drops Season-High Score on Delano

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riverdale). They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Delano Tigers on Saturday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Riverdale's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 51st, while Delano are ranked 253rd).

The victory made it two in a row for Riverdale and bumps their season record up to 3-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two contests. As for Delano, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5-1.

Looking ahead, Riverdale will take on Orosi at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orosi's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Delano, they will head out on the road to square off against Wonderful College Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
