(21) La Salle (Cincinnati) at St. Xavier (Cincinnati)
Friday, 7 p.m. Eastern timeWhy it's big: St. Xavier's hopes for at least sharing the Greater Catholic League South title for the 15th time in the last 25 years hinge upon upsetting No. 21 La Salle Friday night.
A loss would send St. Xavier to 1-2 in league play, with its losses against leaders La Salle and Elder. The Bombers (3-2 overall) lost a double-overtime heartbreaker to Elder last week.
Meanwhile, La Salle improved to 6-0/1-0 with a 13-7 overtime win over Moeller. It was only the seventh win in 54 games all-time for the Lancers in the series. Senior quarterback
Nick Watson accounted for all but 20 of La Salle's 148 total yards in the game.
Names to watch: St. Xavier senior tight end
Noah Davis is tied for second in the GCLS in receiving touchdowns this season with three. The Michigan State recruit is rated three stars by 247Sports.
Ohio State commit
Drue Chrisman is the top-rated punter in the Class of 2016, according to 247Sports. The La Salle senior averages 45.4 yards per boot. He also made a game-winning 41-yard field goal in the Lancers' win over Colerain earlier this season.
