Slocum made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Normangee, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the Slocum Mustangs' way against the Normangee Panthers on Monday as the Slocum Mustangs made off with an 11-1 victory. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

The win made it two in a row for Slocum and bumps their season record up to 3-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Normangee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Coming up, Slocum will welcome Grapeland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Normangee, they will be taking part in a tournament against Bosqueville at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
